Have a great dinner in an old farmhouse in Ellison Bay, family-owned and operated. The 3-story structure has a rich history and accompanying 4.5 acres of wooded land was once owned bny Andrew Wickman, who came to America in Sweden in 1872. A farmhand overseas, he immediately put his skills to work on the rick Wisconsil soil, discovering a truly sustainable way of life for his family. He built a house on the property for his nine children, and it was eventually added on to and opened up to the community as The Ellison Bay Lodge in 1921. This historical landmark was reborn as the Wickman House in 2012, and the renovation and design of the property is dedicated to restoring its history with an eclectic blend of original decor from the 1920's.

TripAdvisor Reviews: "We stopped by here for an early dinner in late May thinking we didn't need reservations, but the place was still packed. Luckily there were two seats at a narrow table in the bar area so they snuck us in. The restaurant is a lovely old house away from the main road, with a nice-looking outdoor area. We enjoyed oysters, cioppino, hanger steak and some sort of Scandinavian dessert. The service was outstanding- the bartender even stopped us before leaving to ask how we enjoyed our cocktails. As we left we watched a small wedding party enter the retaurant, presumably for a post-wedding celebration. This is a great destination for a fancy dinner, without feeling snooty or pretentious. We would definitely return for a special occasion, since we whooped it up and our bill for two people was close to $150, but we had a great time. I'd imagine lunch or brunch would be more reasonable."
